Navi Hairpin

This project I worked with a new technique called Reticulation. In simple terms, Reticulation is when a piece of metal that has a high percentage of copper creating a “wrinkle” texture after being heated. For this piece I wanted to challenge myself to created a non-accessory piece. I’ve always found Chinese hair pins to be really cool, so I decided to create my own. The best part about this piece is that it seconds as a self defense weapon.
